KNOWLEDGE GRAPH™
Model Your Business as AI Sees It.

KNOWLEDGE GRAPH™ is the Business Entity Relationship Engine. It builds, maintains, and publishes the complete graph of your business — entities, relationships, cardinalities, and cross-references — in the formats AI knowledge systems require for high-confidence reasoning and recommendation.

The Problem

AI Sees Nodes in a Graph. Not Pages on a Website.

AI systems do not see businesses as collections of web pages. They see them as nodes in a knowledge graph — connected to other nodes by typed, directional relationships. A business that exists only as web pages is processed differently from a business whose entities, relationships, and cross-references are explicitly modelled and published.

The difference is not just visibility — it is confidence. An AI system that can traverse a complete, consistent, cross-referenced entity graph assigns higher confidence to its understanding of that business — and higher confidence leads to more frequent, more accurate recommendations.

KNOWLEDGE GRAPH™ builds and maintains this graph — explicitly, completely, and in the format AI knowledge systems require.

Entity Types

Nine Entity Types. Every Node Modelled.

Every entity in the business graph is modelled with a stable identifier, full property set, and relationship map.

🏢

Business

The primary entity. Legal name, trading name, category, founding date, location, legal identifiers, canonical URL, and all property types.

legalName · tradingName · category · foundingDate · headquarters · registrationNumber · vatNumber · canonicalUrl
⚙️

Service

Every service the business offers. Name, description, type, target client, problem solved, delivery format, pricing model, and outcome delivered.

name · description · serviceType · targetClient · problemSolved · deliveryFormat · priceRange · outcome
👤

Person

Every team member. Name, role, credentials, expertise areas, professional profiles, and relationship to the business entity.

name · jobTitle · credentials · expertiseAreas · linkedInUrl · publicationUrls
📍

Location

Every office, facility, or service location. Address, coordinates, type, and service area covered from that location.

streetAddress · city · country · coordinates · locationType · serviceArea
🏅

Certification

Every certification, accreditation, or qualification. Name, issuing body, validity period, and registry URL for independent verification.

name · issuingBody · issuingBodyUrl · validFrom · validUntil · registryUrl
🏆

Award

Every award or recognition. Name, awarding body, year received, and reference URL pointing to the awarding body's announcement.

name · awardingBody · year · referenceUrl · category
🤝

Client

Every named client or client type. Name or sector, relationship type, service engaged, and outcome achieved — anonymised where required.

name · sector · companySize · serviceEngaged · outcomeAchieved · relationshipType
🔗

Partner

Every partner organisation. Name, relationship type, collaboration scope, and mutual reference URLs.

name · partnershipType · collaborationScope · partnerUrl · mutualReference
⚔️

Competitor

Every identified competitor. Name, category overlap, geographic overlap, service overlap, and relative AI visibility positioning.

name · categoryOverlap · geographicOverlap · serviceOverlap · aiVisibilityScore
Relationship Types

Ten Typed Directional Relationships

Every relationship typed, directional, and bidirectional. AI systems traverse the graph in any direction from any entry point.

BusinessprovidesServiceOne business, many services. Bidirectional: Service isProvidedBy Business.
BusinessemploysPersonOne business, many team members. Bidirectional: Person isEmployedBy Business.
BusinesslocatedInLocationOne business, many locations. Bidirectional: Location isLocationOf Business.
BusinesscertifiedByCertificationOne business, many certifications. Bidirectional: Certification certifies Business.
BusinessawardedByAwardOne business, many awards. Bidirectional: Award awardsRecognition Business.
BusinessservesClientClientOne business, many client types. Bidirectional: Client isServedBy Business.
BusinesspartnersWithPartnerMany-to-many. Both directions equally valid and equally valued.
BusinesscompetingWithCompetitorSymmetric. If A competingWith B, then B competingWith A.
PersonleadsTeamDepartmentOne person, one or more departments. Leadership hierarchy modelled explicitly.
ContentauthoredByPersonEvery content item attributed. Essential for authority layer and editorial transparency.
Cardinalities

Every Relationship Typed with Correct Cardinality

Cardinalities tell AI systems the nature of each relationship. Incorrect cardinalities produce incorrect knowledge graph inferences.

One-to-One

Single unique relationship

Used where exactly one entity relates to exactly one other. Ensures AI does not infer multiple instances where only one exists.

Business hasFounder Person (one founder per business)
One-to-Many

Single entity, multiple targets

The most common cardinality. One business provides many services. One business employs many people. One service solves many problems.

Business provides Service (one business, many services)
Many-to-Many

Multiple entities on both sides

Used for partnership and competition relationships where multiple businesses relate to multiple others simultaneously.

Person hasExpertise Topic (many people, many topics)
Cross-References

Every Entity Linked to Its External Representations

Cross-references are the mechanism by which AI systems verify entity consistency across sources. Without them, the same business may appear as multiple conflicting nodes.

Business Entity Cross-References

  • LinkedIn company page URL
  • Crunchbase organisation URL
  • National company registry URL
  • Relevant sector directory listings
  • Google Business Profile URL
  • Wikipedia or Wikidata entry (if applicable)
  • Industry association membership registry

Person Entity Cross-References

  • LinkedIn personal profile URL
  • Professional body registry entry
  • Published content URLs (articles, papers)
  • Speaker profile URLs
  • Industry directory listings
  • GitHub or portfolio URL (if relevant)
  • ORCID or professional ID (academic/research)
Output Files

Three Structured Graph Files

entities.json

All Entities Structured

Every entity in the business graph in structured JSON format. Stable identifiers. Full property sets. Relationship references. Used by AI SIGNALS™, EDGE INJECTOR™, and AI SONAR™.

entity-graph.public.jsonld

The Complete Linked Data Graph

Every relationship typed and directional. Every entity connected. Every cross-reference explicit. The file AI systems use to build their knowledge graph entry for the business. Published at domain root.

knowledge-graph.json

Human-Readable Graph Structure

Full relationship map with cardinalities, bidirectional links, and cross-reference arrays. Used as the primary input for EDGE INJECTOR™ and AI SONAR™. Versioned and SHA-256 ready.

The Result

Before and After KNOWLEDGE GRAPH™

Before
  • Business exists as a fragmented, partially-connected node
  • AI identifies some properties but cannot traverse relationships
  • Services not connected to clients, outcomes, or evidence
  • Team members not linked to expertise or authority claims
  • No cross-references — AI cannot verify entity consistency
  • AI confidence low — recommendations inconsistent
  • Complex service portfolio appears simple or unclear to AI
After
  • Business is a fully-connected, traversable entity in the AI knowledge graph
  • All nine entity types modelled and connected
  • Services connected to clients, outcomes, and evidence
  • Team authority linked to expertise, credentials, and publications
  • Full cross-reference network — AI confirms entity consistency
  • AI confidence high — recommendations consistent and accurate
  • Complex service portfolio fully mapped — AI matches each service to the right buyer
